University of Montana’s Pharmacogenomics Program is now offering pharmacogenetics consultations, education, and resources for patients and providers. The use of pharmacogenomics (PGx) to optimize drug therapy is becoming more widespread and we aim to assist providers and patients in navigating PGx test results and treatment recommendations. PGx experts at UM are licensed pharmacists trained in the clinical application of pharmacogenomics. Consultations are available in several therapeutic areas including, but not limited to psychiatry, cardiology, infectious disease, gastroenterology, and pain management Inservice presentations and seminars geared towards health care professionals aiming to implement PGx into practice are also available. Our program is part of the L.S. Skaggs Institute for Health Innovation (SIHI), an initiative to bring health innovations to rural and underserved patients in Montana. PGx experts are available Monday - Thursday from 9 AM to 4 PM
